Stacey is a literacy consultant based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who specializes in coaching teachers in the areas of reading and writing workshop. Her classroom experience includes teaching fourth grade at the Learning Community, a public charter school in Central Falls, Rhode Island; and teaching fifth grade at P.S. 171 in East Harlem, New York
She graduated with a degree in communications from George Washington University. During college she taught Hebrew school in Washington, D.C., but after graduation she worked for iVillage.com and did public relations for several cosmetic companies before realizing that what she really wanted to do was teach.
